There are about four poionous or venomous snakes tha ocupied in the Ryukyu Islands in Japan and there are pitviper species, they are Habu snakes with its different types but in one family, there are Hime Habu, Okinawa Habu, Sakishima Habu and others.
In the pictures above are Hime Habu, This Hime Habu is the longest Asian pitviper, It's adults have usually 1.1-1.7 m long and it's maximum is 3.0 m. The body of Hime Habu usually have colors pale greenish-brown, or yellowish-olive ( it's sometimes pale brown), darker brownish or greenish dorsal blotches, each bordered yellowish scales. Hime Habu snakes have Head large, triangular, distinct from neck, narrow dark postocular stripe.
The habitat of Hime Habu Occurs in various of habitats, they are in open woodland, forests, mountains, fields, in farming areas with nearby streams, ponds and other water sources. It can also be found in human habitations
