There are a lot of worthy acknowledges, science and information that I got from this blog since I began blogging about snakes, so many snakes that I even have never seen and imagined, one of these snakes is this choawchip snake.
As it's name choacwhip snake has shape body like whip that's held by the coach of sport, choacwhip has slim body and long, many adult coachwhip specimens are of 4 to 5 foot in length, however, much longer specimens which in the 7 to 8 foot range can be found and the longest official record is often listed as being approximately 8.5 feet.

Baby Eastern Coachwhip Snake Choacwhip snake generally has dark black in half of it's body, the black colour is just like charcoal. the reminder of it's body to the tail is tan like ground sand, with this characteristic choacwhip snake is one of unique snake because the coloration varies substantially in the linear direction. Although there are still such several colour variation according to the contribution areas and subspecies, like white choacwhip snake, brown choacwhip snake, red choacwhip snake etc.

Choacwhip snake is include the category of non-venomous snakes, choacwhip snake has name in Latin Masticophis flagellum, and it also called as "whip snake", the geographic range of coachwhip snakes are in many areas in the America, such in many coasts in southern United States and also in Mexico. They like to life and stay in the sand lands, open pine forest, old fields etc. And it has seven subspecies that have different characters and colours. They are:
- Sonoran coachwhip, Masticophis flagellum cingulum
- Eastern coachwhip, Masticophis flagellum flagellum
- Baja California coachwhip, Masticophis flagellum fuliginosus
- Lined coachwhip, Masticophis flagellum lineatulus
- Red coachwhip, Masticophis flagellum piceus
- San Joaquin coachwhip, Masticophis flagellum ruddocki
- Western coachwhip, Masticophis flagellum testaceus
Via, Choacwhip snakes are impressive snakes which they can run fastly even fater that us, and also they're aggressive to, in manner they can come to us fast and with their aggression. The variety of their colours give me unique impression, especially the
red color of choachwhip.
