Still with snake names, this time is one elapidae poisonous snake from southern African area, it's rinkhals cobra, looking from the body and it's colours and motif, it seem we already ever know this snake in some media like TV or film, ringhals cobra is one of venomous snake that can expand it's head and neck like hood, and also can spit it's venom like sprinkled water, it's like the black spitting cobra that can spray it's venom.
Ringhals cobra snake is known as (Hemachatus haemachatus) and it also has name "
ringhals" and "
ring-necked spitting cobra", yes it's called by this name may be because there is scales on it's neck like ring and it has ability to spit poison from it's fangs when it's threatened, defending or want to attack. so this snake is dangerous to us.

Genus of Rinkhals Cobra
Rinkhals cobra is not under the genus of the true cobra or it's called as Naja, so in other word rinkhals cobra is not a cobra snakes but it has own name and it's instead belongs to the monotypic genus Hemachatus. Source, The Rinkhals look fairly similar to the Cobras but has keeled scales and only has a single species in the Genus.
The skin of Rinkhals cobra has variety of colours according to the areas, but in adult rinkhals it usually has dark spotted colour in the belly with two-white/yellow colored in it's tr oath/neck, just we you can see in the pictures above, some of rinkhals even get almost fully black in the body. The length of the snake is in 1 meter and with record length of 1.5 meter.
About the venom of this snak, the venom is dangerous that can cause permanently blind if it strike eyes, the venom is neurotoxic but not as toxic as Cobras and is more diluted when spitted. It harms skin if it contact it, So don't be reckless with this one.
